Memorial Service for Rabbi Stein
Today there will be a memorial service for Rabbi Chaim Stein held for Oorah’s female employees. Rebbetzin Lerman will speak and inspire with stories of Rabbi Stein and other sages of our generation. Rabbi Chaim Stein was beloved by all, near and far people from all flocks of life came to seek his advice and guidance. His listening ear, keen and sharp mind, and his huge heart made a deep impression on all who connected with him. He will be missed by all.

Fiveish Celebrates in Cleveland
This year’s senior class of Mosdos Ohr Hatorah in Cleveland, OH had 5 graduates. So at the goodbye party that the Junior class made for them, they chose to use a FIVEISH theme. They rewrote some of the Shmorg 3 hits to fit the occasion, and decorated the party with all sorts of Fiveish décor, including a Fiveish cake made by one of the talented girls. According to a participant, it “was the most smashing party ever!!”
Camp Girls Find Comfortable Home
Three girls from TheZone, coming from Florida, missed their flight to New Jersey. Mrs. Rivky Gubitz, Oorah’s TorahMates Coordinator, opened up her home and invited the girls to eat a delicious dinner and sleep over until their ride to camp the next morning.

Today is the day! We made it…all aboard the bus to TheZone. Months of preparation and exciting anticipation- onward to the best summer ever. Camp at TheZone, the way summer is meant to be.

Little Star Celebrates its First Graduation
Oorah’s Little Star Preschool in Staten Island celebrated their first graduation on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. The children sang and danced beautifully and the parents and teachers were so proud! The graduation was followed by a party and slideshow of pictures throughout the year which each parent got to take home.

Unique Car Donated
Antique 1967 Pontiac Tempest was donated to Oorah’s car donation program. We appreciate any car donation but this one definitely “brightened” up our day!

Rochel is Engaged – Mazel Tov!
Mazel Tov to Rochel Herskovits from Lakewood and Munish Halpert of Boro Park!
Miss Herskovits has been a dedicated employee of Oorah for the past 4 years. We wish you only happiness in the future.
They will be celebrating their engagement Wednesday evening, June 29th.

NY TorahMates Celebrate 5 Year Anniversary
Shiffy Itzkowitz from Monsey, NY and Elizabeth Binyaminov from Brooklyn will be learning together for 5 years in Oorah’s TorahMates program. They will be celebrating this milestone by dining in their favorite restaurant – sponsored by Oorah.
