Some more nice responses to our Shana Tova email:
Thank you for the most beautiful Chumash. I got it yesterday and Esther called me last night and we got started right away. How amazing was that for timing!! I know I will be on another wonderful journey. I can’t thank you and Oorah enough for all you have done for me. Toda! Shana Tova to you and your family and your co-workers.
A healthy meaningful Shana Tova to you. Thank you for all your time and help and brilliance. I am sure you know how much this new beginning has meant to me! I started my hebrew lessons today and they were incredible, amazing, wonderful.
Shana Tova! You have such an amazing kinda heart, and have helped me reach my goals in learning hebrew and so much more. I thank you so very much! I hope you have an amazing New Year!

Oorah Prepares for Rosh Hashana in TheZone
After a quiet respite of several weeks, TheZone is once again being readied for use – this time as a Rosh Hashana retreat, a first for Oorah. As such, special supplies are being procured – namely machzorim, guidebooks for those who aren’t that familiar with the details of the Yomim Noraim yet, and a white peroches for the beautiful aron in TheZone’s shul. Uncle Mike is just putting the finishing touches on the peroches by hammering in grommets, and it will be sent up to camp later today.

Mitzvos Pay Off
In the September 14th edition of the Binyan HaModia Youth Magazine Mr. Heshy Spira, a designer at Furniture Plus in Monsey, NY is interviewed.
Mr. Spira shares interesting answers as to how he got involved in his work, what goes into building a shul, how he became a designer, what types of wood he uses, how long it takes for a shul to be built, how the furniture is installed, what he builds besides for shuls and what unusual requests he has received.
When asked if he has any other interesting stories, he responded:
“One thing that I can tell you is that we see clear brachos from doing mitzvos. We advertise in Oorah’s Chinese Auction Journal every year, and we always get an influx of interested potential customers right after, from as far away as Canada!”
Nice message from a volunteer…
Thank you very much! I really appreciate this. You should only know what a wonderful job you are doing by helping people learn Hebrew. The books are fantastic! They give wonderful pointers to help people learn.
Thank you again!
