Oorah is a non profit organization dedicated to providing educational and recreational opportunites to Jewish Children and their families. Among our many programs, we sponsor a Jewish Summer camp, School tuition scholarships, and an adult education program.
In addition, our fundraising arm provides Jewish Entertainment, Phone service, electricity choice, and car donation services. The purpose of the Oorah blog is to disseminate news about Oorah’s programs and events.

Reading all these blogs brings tears to my eyes and joy to my heart . Being a person who grew herself and understands each persons struggles , its beautiful to see the work thats being done to show the beauty of yiddishkeit. I am so proud to be part of the Oorah family . They showed me what and who i wanted to be as i grow and i have molded myself into that person , but without Oorah’s help i would have NEVER gotten there . So thank you so much for that . I am now helping others to recognize Hashem and the beauty of being a Jewish neshama and the fact that they were chosen to be a Yid – is a blessing . Now we have to embrace that , get close to Hakadosh Baruch Hu and realize that we ARE special. So thank you again Oorah for changing my life as well as ahundred others. We see how one person (Rabbi Mintz , ad 120 ) changed so many lives by reaching out – we should take that as an example and do the same torwards all our brothers and sisters.
