All our Rebbetzin mentors and singles are invited to join us at TheZone for a weekend of inspiration and fun! Message from a Grateful Kallah
The bride has been part of The Rebbetzins program for two years and is extremely grateful for the mentoring and advice she received.
“Thank you sososososo much for reaching out to me! The chosson is a truly wonderful man from ***! His name is *** …We met in late January. We got engaged on my birthday, the third day of Pesach this year. I was so surprised because it was only the fifth time we had visited one another.
We are getting married [in] September… Please let me know at that time if there are some special ladies I can daven for so that they IYH can find such a good shidduch. I never could have found [my chosson] with such ease without Hashem’s help.
Thank you so much for being a part of my search for the right one and BH there will be more happy news from me in the future!”
Genuine Appreciation
When calling a Cucumber customer regarding our new Power & Gas Program, she immediately signed up, saying “I owe my life to Oorah!” When asked what she meant, and she said that she is now happily married, and it’s all thanks to The Rebbetzins program!
A Message from a Very Grateful Single Boy
I have been pluggin away with [my Rebbetzin] on the Rebbetzins database. She and I talk regularly and she really has been amazing. I am going out tomorrow night with someone here in L.A… she was definitely involved. My Rebbetzin goes above and beyond. She checks my references, give me aitzahs (advice), tells me who else to get in contact with, and is always there when I need her. Thank you so much!
Another thrilled Rebbetzin’s single who spent Sukkos at TheZone…
I must say that my experience was so enjoyable. I left feeling that this organization is so unique and amazing! The warmth and care of all the people there and the arrangements that were made were so nice and comfortable. I usually don’t like going away from home, but at times I found myself completely forgetting about life back in Brooklyn
It was such a nice getaway- to be in the middle of the beautiful mountains, with a gorgeous view!
I said to myself that there’s definitely not even one complaint any camper has when coming home after an enjoyable summer at The Zone.
You all do such amazing work. May Hashem continue to allow Oorah to be successful in all it’s projects.
Thank you again and please thank all the people who assisted in the planning.
A Rebbetzin’s Single who Joined us for Simchat Torah
Hello and Good Morning,
I must say that even though I come from an observant background having experienced many Simchat Torahs in and out of yeshivot I must say that spending time with Oorah was probably my most enjoyable Simchat Torah experience. I met many people that I networked with in regards to shiduchim. I thank you for giving me the opportunity and privilege in joining the extended Oorah family for Simchat Torah. May we all share only smachot in the future.
Want to make a difference in someone’s life?
The following is a quote from a single hooked up with The Rebbetzins program:
“As a ba’al teshuva I take a service like this very seriously. I don’t have family to fall back on to help me seek out a shidduch. You – and some random shadchans in the community – are my only resources.”
Baalei Teshuva have come so far. Now that they have made it here and want to establish good Torahdik families, don’t you want to be among those to help them achieve it?
A Customer Service Rep Reports:
Yesterday someone called in looking to sign up for Cucumber Communications. She said she just came back from the Shabbat with Oorah and she had such a nice time. She was really inspired and she couldn’t believe that we didn’t charge her anything! She is calling all her friends and family and getting as many people as she can to sign up for Cucumber in order to enable Oorah to continue doing the wonderful work that they do. Also, she was amazed at how many programs we fund. When she mentioned she was single and is having a hard time getting DSL service in her area and therefore cannot do on-line dating, I told her about Oorah’s Rebbetzin’s Program, she said she will call right away. Also she mentioned that she would like to volunteer to help Oorah in the wonderful work that they do.
Rebbetzins Program Navigates Shidduchim Across the Entire Spectrum of Judaism
Think putting together a match between an out-of-towner and an in-towner is tough, or between Hungarian and Polish families? Well, that’s nothing – The Rebbetzins program has seen it all! Sephardi with Ashkenazi, Lubavich with Breslov, chasidish with litvish, Persian/Bucharian/Russian/Israeli with long-time Americans, recent Baalei Teshuva with those who have been frum all their lives… You name it, we’ve seen it. And you know what? You just never know…After all, we are all Jewish, and there’s more that unites us than divides us.
