Today I got to see first hand the principle of “ Mitzva Gorreres Mitzva” (One mitzvah leads to another).

I offered sukkahs to 4 TorahMates. They were all very excited about the sukkahs and Oorah’s generosity.

I took the opportunity to explain to them the meaning of the Aseres Yemei Teshuva and suggested they accept upon themselves a mitzvah.

One of them said that he would “wipe the dust” off the tefilin he hasn’t worn since his bar-mitzva. Another two agreed to wear a talis koton.

The last Torah Mate said he would try to put on tefilin and wear tzitzis consistently.

So our sukkah giveaway has taken their level of observance to a whole new level.

What a merit for all of us here at Oorah.
