There’s a place...
...in upstate New York, nestled deep in the mountains of rural Schoharie County, where magic happens. Far away from the distractions of the city, boasting every amenity that regular camps have – and ten more you haven’t thought of – and built upon the ideals and values of Jewish life, TheZone becomes home for hundreds of campers each summer.
They range in age from 8 to 17 and come from very diverse backgrounds; some of their families keep Shabbos, and some have never even heard of Shabbos.
By summer’s end, after the campers spend several weeks being entertained by top names in Jewish music, taken on exciting trips, and given a resort experience that cannot be duplicated anywhere else on earth, they want to remain in camp – but not for the above listed material aspects offered by TheZone. They want to stay in order to keep Shabbos.
That is magical.
And that is where you come in. The staff is at the very heart of what goes on in TheZone. Each counselor is a living and breathing icon of Torah life. Every activity presents an opportunity to teach without actively teaching, where campers absorb unspoken messages like sponges, making camp the perfect complement to a school year.
