It's Everyone's Resposibility.
Our gedolim have been saying it for years: kiruv is everyone's responsibility. But we hear that directive and get nervous… "I don't know how to do kiruv! Don't I need to be specially trained, with a master's degree in Outreach Science or something? What if they ask a question I don't know the answer to? What if I look too frum and scare him off?"
We debunk the myths!
For over 8 years and counting, Oorah has been effectively debunking kiruv myths through its chavrusa program. Being involved in kiruv has never been easier – being a Torah Mate offers a simple way to share the beauty and wealth that living a Torah life offers, for just a half hour a week.
Sign up to TorahMates.
When you sign up as a Torah Mate, you will be put in touch with a coordinator who will guide you through every step of the way; at no point will you be expected to go it alone. Shortly after you contact us, your coordinator will match you up with a chavrusa, and you'll be sent a starter kit – complete with the material you'll be learning, and a Torah Mates guidebook. If any concerns arise, you can contact your coordinator. In addition, if your chavrusa stumps you, you can direct his/her question to our Rav.
