My daughter was in girls’ division of TheZone this summer and not only did she enjoy it, but she came home completely transformed! Her speech is much more refined and she looks forward to learning Torah with her TorahMate each week. She can’t wait to go back this summer!

I am a person who always had a passion for learning and Judaism. It was only after I came home from Oorah’s camp that I had the strength to keep Shabbat, and I want to flourish into the person I was created to be.

Madison has not even been home from TheZone for 24 hours, and she cannot stop talking about when it’s time to come back to camp. Thank you all for giving her such a great summer and teaching her all about her heritage. She hasn’t been this enthusiastic about anything in a long, long time. Cant wait to light Shabbat candles in our home this coming Friday for the first time in the beautiful candlesticks she made at camp! There aren’t enough kind words to express my thanks.

Thank you for making my daughter's first sleep away experience a beautiful one. She has not stopped talking about it since she got home! I was especially happy with her enthusiastic description of Shababt in camp and the beauty of the experience! Wish I could have been there too!

What doesn't Oorah do? You are THE BEST !!!!!

I always knew about Moses and the Ten Commandments, but had no clue where they were written. I remember the day I received a Chumash from Torah Mates. It ended up being the turning point in my life. My Torah Mates study partner and I have kept up our learning schedule – once a week for the last four years.

I connected with my TorahMate on the phone this evening and we set up a weekly Pirkei Avos session. I am so glad that I am going to be studying this with her. We spoke about things in the Tanach, about various different siddurs, and even helped me with Hebrew lettering! I feel so lucky to have these wondrous people in my life! Many thanks, as always. I will never be able to repay you for all you have given me, as I keep receiving every day. The Oorah organization is surely amazing.

My Torah Mate, Chana, has been wonderful!  She is so patient and accommodating. I am very grateful to have been teamed up with her for studying.  She is fast becoming someone I consider a friend and confidant.  We study Hebrew and many other aspects of Torah and Judaism.  I look forward each week to her call!  Our study time is the highlight of my week...it's so enjoyable and even relaxing in the midst of the chaos I call my life!  Thank you for your ongoing concern and support!  I truly appreciate it!

The mailman just delivered the Machzor for Rosh Hashanah, and I wanted to thank you. The books I have received from Oorah are treasures and have helped me so much in my search for learning and understanding about my heritage.

I find it difficult to express my appreciation to Oorah for introducing me to my study partner Dovid through the Torah Mates programs. My relationship with Dovid is going on three years now. Over time, I learned to read Hebrew, and with patience and understanding, he clarified many things in Judaism to me that I never fully appreciated.  There’s a saying that goes, “You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.” But there are times that a horse will run to water of his own accord, because he’s so thirsty.

This is what Dovid has brought to me; he gave me the ability to understand Judaism, to drink from what Judaism has to offer, to see the beauty and generosity of Judaism. The support and encouragement I get through the Torah Mates program is much needed and appreciated. Thank you!

My family and I would just like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to enjoy an inspirational Shabbat with Oorah. We had an amazing time and can't thank you enough for working so hard to make it as wonderful as it was. The program was exciting, the speakers were amazing and inspirational, and the food was delicious. Thank you once again for giving us the chance to experience Shabbat, and may Oorah have many more successful shabbatons in the future, giving other families the experience you have given us.

I want to thank everyone at Oorah for giving my children the gift of being able to attend a Jewish school. This would not have been possible without you, and I am thankful every single day!

What a wondrous weekend Shabbat with Oorah turned out to be! Every aspect of the event was beautiful and meaningful, particularly hearing the men praying, studying Pirkei Avos with my Torah Mate, the Dueling Rabbis debate and of course the delicious endless food! Thank you for going out of your way to give us an incredible Shabbat experience.

I cannot thank you and Oorah enough for an AMAZING weekend.  My children had such a good time and it was so nice to meet our Torah Mates.  I learn so much from Keila - the match is awesome.  I also see we were one of the lucky ones who clicked on the first try.  I have never felt so inspired and so close to other Jews.  I made some new friends and I got to see old ones. 

We want to thank you and Oorah for a wonderful time. Thank you for having us. It was a wonderful joyous experience. My family had a memorable time with the Oorah family. Thank you for making us part of the Oorah extended family.

I just wanted to thank you for our amazing Shavuot experience in TheZone! Here we thought we were going to spend Yom Tov in a camp, but we were actually invited to a resort! The schedule was full and yet at the same time we had plenty of time to reflect, absorb and simply enjoy the beauty of the place we were staying in.   I was always impressed with Oorah but after this Yom Tov it is hard to find the words of respect, admiration and awe we have for your organization.

My family and I wanted to extend our heartfelt gratitude for inviting us to the Passover retreat at TheZone boy's camp in Stamford, NY. My family and I were just amazed at the camp and

the wonderful program you had for us. The seders were absolutely astounding and gave us much nachas. I have attended and even assisted in administering Passover retreats (for U.S. military personnel in Oregon and Washington State), and have never had such a wonderful yom tov retreat experience!

Again, my family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and the wonderful outreach work your are conducting. Our daughters are looking forward to their first experience at TheZone this summer! I, myself, will be looking into the Torah Mates program. Todah rabah

There are no words to describe the joy that Oorah brought to my family with the sukkah  that you gave us. I cannot thank you enough. Thanks to you, we are able to fulfill the mitzva of sitting in the sukkah! My son Daniel just told me to tell you that Oorah brought joy to his life. Thank you very much and chag sameach.

Received an amazing package from Torah Mates with great information and handmade matzos (which we have never eaten-- can't wait !) and goodies. There is a whole book on kosher for the clueless which I'm reading ...and I've been making everyone crazy by playing my Pesach CD over and over again!
